Dylan was confined to our tiny island through all the lockdowns and restrictions that Covid brought. Two solid years, ages 11 and 12, living in a very small pond. It’s a big world out there and Dylan is now able to jump into the ocean of things to see and do. He left the island just after his 13th birthday in early May and hasn’t been back since! He’s been crashing at legend Pete Matthew’s / @lost_indo house in Uluwatu, surfing the peninsula and loitering around @whitemonkey_surfshop when he’s not cruising with pros like @ian_crane and Mason Ho / @cocom4debarrelkilla around Bali, Lombok, Sumbawa, and G-land. Not to mention he got to surf in the Rip Curl Padang2 trials! Then on top of all that was this very special trip to America. Dylan stayed at the home of @matt_biolos, and his best buddy @kalani_ryan_ was able to make the journey from Indonesia as well. The two of them quickly joined forces with @river_biolos to become the 3 Amigos of San Clemente. The adventures were non stop, surfing Trestles, cruising from San Diego to Huntington Beach with @corylopez and his kids @_alana_lopez and @lukethedudelopez, contest at Huntington thanks to @cohenscorner and Rip Curl, road trip with the Biolos family to Mammoth, wake boarding, trip to the Lost factory, new quiver complete with sick airbrush by @ryderbiolos, amusement parks, 4th of July.... Dylan couldn’t have had a better time! We can’t thank Matt “Mayhem” Biolos and his wife Kelly enough for opening their doors to Dylan and Kailani and managing what must have been a 3 ring circus everyday! The boys will never forget what you did for them. And thanks to @jjhendy and @ripcurlasia for helping with tickets and making sure Dylan was taken care of in California. So many people played a part in giving these kids the time of their lives and sorry if I’m leaving anyone out! The fun continues, Dylan is still in Bali for a couple of comps, then possibly going to Lakey’s to hang out with Pete and Crano! I guess I will see him back on the island at some point? 😁 Learning to fly!
