Alhamdulillah, I matched! I've realized there are so many parallel paths we envisioned as a possibility for ourselves that most people end up grieving something regardless of whether they wanted their match result or not. It was the craziest mix of emotions and likely why I reacted how I did in the moment and after opening their result. The match process and medical education in general is truly an emotional rollercoaster. Keep me and others in your prayers - may we pass through our training mentally and physically well, fulfilled, supported, and growing toward a life aligned with what we value.
