Yesterday was my 30th birthday, and that feels so wild to type. About a month ago, I packed up everything I had and drove across the country to make room for a new flower to grow. I visited my ancestors in the 8th ward, held baby gators, and ate boudin balls that I’m still dreaming about. I stuck my face in just about every flower I saw (per usual). I filled my cup with the laughter of my friends and family. To everyone that loved me, learned me, and taught me through my 20s, I thank God for you. How could I ever be so lucky?
