For more than 50 years, Alaska has been home to @theiditarod, a dog sled race that takes mushers 1,000 miles through the Southcentral, Interior and Arctic region of the state. 🐶 On the first Saturday in March, you can see the ceremonial start of the Iditarod in downtown @visitanchorage. You can also head to Willow, located in the @matsuvalleyak, the following day to watch the mushers and their four-legged teammates officially start the journey to @visitnome.
