@malcolmgladwell said it best, Athing Mu is reinventing the half mile, and if you caught her in action during the World Athletics Championships this past weekend, you’d know what he’s talking about. Last year, I watched Athing during the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics. I was amazed at her performance in the 800m race, where she eventually won gold, but then I got a chance to interview her and was even more blown away by her brilliance and humility. To be so young, talented, and grace-filled, it’s hard not to be a fan of Athing.
