I’m incredibly honoured to announce that my debut album ‘Songs That Made Me Feel’ is dropping July 16th. Writing this album has been one of the most therapeutic and rewarding things I’ve ever done. Young men all around the world are taught to suppress their emotions and ‘man up’, but with this album I’m trying to do the opposite of that. I’m so so incredibly proud of this body of work. It’s so hard making a full R&B Album in the UK but I’ve managed to put together a body of work that is 100% me, no comprising with labels, just a straight up honest and unapologetically raw James Vickery, telling stories of a young man trying to navigate his life up until now. I promise everyone will be able to feel at least something with this body of work. I think it is a sentiment lost a lot on this generation, accolades have never interested me BUT if I can successfully make at least 1 person feel something like I did when I wrote this... Then I’ll consider that a success in my eyes. 💫 JV x
