#TBT to the Bloomingdale’s in Fresh Meadows. Bloomingdale’s had two flagship locations in NYC; the first on 59th Street and Third Ave in Manhattan and the second on 188th Street and Horace Harding Expressway in Fresh Meadows.

The Bloomies in Fresh Meadows opened in 1949 with 25,000 customers in their first year of operation.

In 1991, this location was closed down due to slower sales and competition from the Bloomingdales in the Garden City, LI.

Today, there is a Kohls in the same location.
