Been wanting to share this moment with y’all, Superstars.✨🥺 Steve Harvey said God doesn’t show you the roadmap to your dreams because we probably would turn around if we knew the time, energy, or sacrifices it would take. If you had told that girl auditioning for grad school in NYC in 2009 that, 11 years later, she’d see herself on an NYC marquee playing a Disney Queen... I’m not sure that girl would have had the capacity to stick out the 11 years. But thank God, He knew that. And thank God, I only need to have grace for the DAY THAT I’M IN (as @chuckjones84 loves to remind me😅). 4 years ago, I left my job of 15 years at T-Mobile to pursue acting more fully. And last month, God put my marquis right above a T-Mobile store to remind me that, if we’re open to being led by His peace, He is so SO faithful! ⚠️Side note: that’s not to say, your girl ONLY acts for her bread and butter... most of us “working actors” are still “working” jobs or businesses to stay “actors”... more on that later, loves.😏 What it IS to say is that, I wouldn’t be where I am without a God who takes me exactly as I am, with all my highs and lows, and gives me all the grace I need for whatever the day holds... auditions, chem reads, days of the phone not ringing (let’s be real)... and next thing I know, I’m miles from where I once was and celebrating a new win!🥳👏🏽🙌🏽 Please celebrate your wins on this journey!🗣 In fact, drop your wins in the comments so I can celebrate with you!!
