did you know Nipsey’s classmates used to copy off of his work but the teacher did not know...? classmates got invited to an enrichment program but he was left out of the program? he told his mom and she advocated for him to be tested. he scored off the charts and proved his teacher to be wrong. this anecdote from his biography was enough to show how our mindset as educators can impact our most vulnerable learners if they are not protected. Nipsey Hussle’s professional body of work shows the utility value he had for reading. the man read a book a day. there are so many others who can achieve greatness on the foundation of literacy. some just need innovative forms of motivation and differentiated support with self-regulatory learning... executive functioning skills etc. but managing learning difficulties is not in this level of training that my co-facilitators and i delivered..... 2/3
