#PorscheDesign Last night was one of those New York nights that was unforgettable. I attended the launch of the new @PorscheDesign Chronograph 1 - 1975 Limited Edition in titanium at @WatchesofSwitzerland_USA on Greene Street in SoHo. It’s a reimagining of the original 1975 model made from raw stainless steel. Only 350 of them exist in the world, and each one is going for $9,650. The face of the watch is inspired by the dashboard of a Porsche 911, which is as cool as it sounds. Set against a backdrop of striking @porscheusa cars lining Greene Street, the evening felt more like a scene from a beautifully directed film than a launch event. Among the guests, #OrlandoBloom, who’s more than just a familiar face, he’s a true believer in what the brand stands for. You could tell. The way he engaged with the design story, the history, it all just fit. A night of good watches, great company, and the kind of forward thinking aura that only New York and Stuttgart can pull off.
