I have long had a fancy for Charles Renée Mackintosh's @thehillhouse_nts , but all the more since @carmodygroarke built their amazing steel and mesh structure 'The Box' around it a few years ago - commissioned to stop the building 'dissolving like an aspirin in water' (it had serious damp!). The combo of curved, rendered exteriors and sharp-angled, rooftop-high steel passageways is just ❤️‍🔥 to me. In September's @houseandgardenuk I finally shot there, showing some fun modernist pieces. It was one of the wettest and hardest-work days of my life (note, at least one stone table 😬) so big props to @remymish and 📸@jakecurtisphoto for endurance 💪🏻and @nationaltrustforscotland for being lovely.
