Aside from it feeling triumphant to get @thechasebrockexperience back onstage after nearly three years, this one is especially exciting, because it’s personal. I grew up constantly hearing stories and memories of my family’s drive-in restaurant, Brock’s of Hendersonville, truly the place to be in the 50’s and 60’s. My great-grandfather Strawberry founded it, my grandfather Billy and his siblings managed it, then inherited it, then fought over it, my dad Terry and his friends and football teammates worked there and ate there and grew up there. But of course there was more to the story, as there always is, and I’m excited to have the change to explore and reimagine this family drama through dance. I’m thrilled and grateful my longtime collaborator @travantebaker is directing and choreographing alongside me, and I’m absolutely over the moon about the 19 1960’s-style pop songs @pslibman and his wonderful lyricist collaborators have written as our soundtrack! I’m still receiving final mixes from our recording sessions in LA, NY and Chicago — just you wait until you hear it!!
