This is insane. How is our house in Southern Living?? When I saw the listing for the house 4 years ago, I didn’t understand why it had been on the market for nearly a year. When my husband and I went to look at it, we immediately understood. While it had beautiful bones and had been deeply loved by the family that had lived it in for 60+ years - it needed a TON of work. We knew we were crazy to take it on (and our friends and family confirmed this), but we had to do it. Houses like this don’t just show up anymore. So, we did it. We knocked down walls, ripped things out, refinished the floors, put in new floors, put in new electrical and HVAC systems, worked through a pest problem, painted everything, wallpapered almost everything, fully renovated a kitchen and three bathrooms. ******** Thank you @pagemullins for seeing something special in our house and always being patient when I asked multiple times “how finished does a house need to be before you photograph it?” - and to @helendavisdesign for essentially firing me as a client and pushing me to design my house myself. 🤣 You said I could do it, and it turns out you were right 😘 📷 credit: @davidtsay
