This roundtable will bring together key fashion industry figures to discuss histories of trans work in the fashion industry: trailblazing models Tracey “Africa” Norman and Connie Fleming @therealconniegirl alongside contemporary industry leaders photographer Cruz Valdez @cruzcvaldez and @interviewmag fashion director, Dara Allen. The conversation will be moderated by activist and artist Tourmaline @tourmaliiine, who recently co-designed the gender-inclusive “Collective Opulence Celebrating Kindred" swimwear collection for @chromat. The forthcoming issue of Viscose Journal, on the topic of transness, is slated for publication in partnership with the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art in Autumn 2022.
