I picked up my notebook from this past year and it fell open to this entry. It helped to re-read this today and thought it might be useful to someone else. August 17th, 2021 “So, I did a thing! A few moments back, I made an incredibly tough decision to leave my ‘9-5’ at a company that I loved to officially make the leap and be a full-time freelancer...(😳) The following day, a dear friend @carolinekenyon and I grabbed a bunch of snacks (shout out to you Trader Joe’s), packed the car, and just drove. We didn’t really have a plan, I just needed to give myself the time and space away to decompress this shitty year, meet some friendly faces, and reset. Life hasn’t been easy for anyone these past few years, and it’s only been 17 days since I changed the direction of mine, but a lot of clarity has fallen into place since then: ~ Came up with a lil passion project that we like to call @wyldhoneys ~ Finally have a place to log my favorite disposable moments @thealisunarchives (this brings me so much joy) ~ @driftwoodsauna has been picking up so much “steam” (get it) lately. It feels really good being able to give the sauna back to the people and the community. ~ AND after two years of all talk, I can officially share that I am moving to the magical state of Colorado :) I am currently sitting in a meadow looking at The Grand Tetons eating some berries that we foraged, and know that this moment won’t last for long- but here’s to you, to chapters closing, opening, and following your gut
