Owning a yoga studio after yoga teacher training can be an incredibly rewarding experience but it will also have it’s challenges. Yoga can be a great compliment to therapy but it cannot replace professional counseling. As a certified yoga teacher you will want to refer your students to a professional therapist. Healing from trauma with yoga is helpful if it’s done with a professional who understands how trauma works. Otherwise, as a yoga instructor, you can do more damage than you can help with yoga.
