#ELLEFashion: Last night, @bellahadid and @coperni designers Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant recreated history by live spray painting a futuristic dress on the model. Taking the attendees and fashion lovers back to 1999, when late @alexandermcqueen created a similar finale moment with @shalomharlow. 24 years ago, Harlow wore a voluminous strapless white dress held up by a leather belt and stood on a spinning platform where she was painted by robots. Bella walked on the ramp in nothing but a thong, until the designers sprayed an off-shoulder dress made out of a foam-like substance—courtesy fabrican, a material-science company founded by Spanish fashion designer and scientist Manel Torres. The sprayed liquid has synthetic fibers in a polymer solution, which evaporate when they make contact with the skin.
