One of my favourite pieces of the year!! Huge props to @jamie_clifton for always allowing to me to shoot my silly ideas and huge thanks to @goodasgoldgroupuk and all the PRs that helped me organise this! I basically spent my weekend at @2000trees_festival running around to various stages to photograph a load of bands’ pre-show rituals. Thank you also to all of the bands for letting me bother them before their performances! 1. @novatwinsmusic have a dance party in their dressing room. 2. @dpuofficial blast music and neck beers & shots. 3. @bobbyvylan get the pads out for a bit of training. 4. @knockedloosehc have a group huddle and chant ‘Ba-da-ba-ba-ba, I’M LOVING IT’ 5. Chris from @antiflag draws a black love heart on his hand before every show before taking a picture of it to send to his wife. 6. @theoozes play catch with a heart shaped stress ball. 7. Eva from @rolotomassiband makes sure she has a boiled kettle so she can drink hot water through the set. This helps her voice from all the screaming. 8. @bstnmnr have a ‘circle of smiles’ where they smile at each other in silence for a minute. 9. @thechatslovebeer hang around and in the words of their tour manager, ‘suck poss’ with whoever else is around. 10. @daveinme runs on the spot to get the blood pumping. ~~~~ #ritual #festival #2000trees #alternative
