A Police officer was run over in the Bronx last night while responding to a call because imbeciles were looting and robbing FROM MINORITY OWNED BUSINESSES. NO, I DO NOT support police brutality or police abusing their power! BUT, these could be the same cops that are trying to protect our communities. These are businesses who were most likely already on the verge of shutting down due to Covid-19 and NOW THIS. I’m heartbroken. I’ve lived in the Bronx my whole life. Can’t even begin to fathom how much this boils my blood. The bronx is one of the poorest boroughs. Most businesses are owned by POC - Hispanics, African Americans, Indians, Arabic’s, etc. You are doing this to YOUR OWN PEOPLE, YOUR OWN KIND! One thing I WON’T stand for are people participating in this immorally for their own personal GREED. It’s a DISGRACE and it’s embarrassing. The Universe always has a way of teaching us all a lesson.
