Day 4 and 5.. with sore bodies arrived at our campsite, dropped our packs, and made our ascent to the legendary Las Torres Del Paine or “Blue Towers”. Definitely one of the most incredible geological structures I’ve ever seen in my life, 3 huge rock towers with a turquoise lake at its base. The total ascent took us about 4 hours with the last hour being pretty steep trail through a boulder field but so worth it once you make it to the top. Such a great feeling to finish the trek here and was definitely an adventure we will never forget! 40 miles of trekking with a 30 pound backpack and I’d do it all again in a heartbeat. Thank you to my uncle @jordy.c541 for the trip tips, @patagoniahonolulu for my pants that kept me warm and comfy, @healeywaterops getting me set up with @sitkagear layering system @protektproducts sunscreen and @mauinuivenison to keep us fueled. Thank you to @kifaru_intl for situating me with my badass pack. Having the right technical gear for doing a trek like this makes all the difference and there’s no better feeling then being prepared out in the backcountry. Lastly thank you to my beautiful wife @larissanordyke for not only killing it on the planning of our route but being hardcore enough to spend 5 days slugging it out in the elements with me 🔨
