LIFE UPDATE (because this page is first and foremost me... and then it’s about my offerings and gifts to you 🤪 ) i shared this on my stories this past week but Luke & I recently moved back into my parents’ home! this move was for a few reasons but one that i didn’t even factor in was: being able to spend quality time with them as an adult among the 4 F’s (fight, flight, freeze, faun), my instinctive nature is flight. hence, wanting to get away for college, and wanting to live “independently” as much as possible (“” are because i milked my parents insurance as long as i could lol, so not THAT independently) but lately i’ve been curious to know what my relationship could be with them now that i’ve taken time to really know and grow my own person. there’s this idea in the self-development community that spending time with your family/parents as an adult can serve as a testament of the work you’ve done on yourself i can now see how a few years ago, i would have been triggered by every other thing my parents do. but i’m starting to see more and more that they’re just humans with their human stuff and we’re all just doing this life thing together. so, i’ve been more aware of taking responsibility and accountability for my reactions and letting my pride take a back seat in some situations.... which is very very very difficult for me 😂. having my own yoga practice and time away is very necessary to not revert into 13 y/o me 🦋 mom & dad, if you’re reading this, thank you!!! for everything! and mostly for just letting me figure all of this out on my own and loving me through it all❤️❤️ also thanks to Luke for having the strength and space to hold me down 🤣🤣
