there are SO many ways you can eat to promote your health. as a registered dietitian, i can see how each one can be “healthy” in their own way!
however, none of these “guidelines” of eating top the most important thing:
your RELATIONSHIP to yourself
why?
➡️your self-relationship influences the way you take care of yourself
➡️the way you take care of yourself influences the way you see food as fuel
➡️the way you view food influences how consistent and dedicated you are to eating in a way that feels good to your body
➡️what you do consistently becomes part of your lifestyle
but it STARTS with how worthy you believe you are of living your best life. it starts with how much work you are willing to put in because you care about your physical vessel THAT much.
it’s very typical for someone on their journey to eat “healthy” with the best intentions, and end up spiraling and obsessing over food, exercise, rules, rigidity, and appearances.
the healthiest way to eat, in my eyes, is a way that comes from a place of self love, compassion, and gentleness.
once it stems from there, knowing how certain foods feel/affect your body/give you energy and life is natural, easy, and doesn’t consume your entire day.
