So, I didn’t realize it was #NationalDogDay until halfway through the day, but HOW could I not post in appreciation of this guy?? 🐶❤️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I had a dog for 16 years - a yorkie, named Stella. When George and I met, it was important to me that Stella like him... turns out they fell in love 🥰, and it was part of what made me fall in love with him that much harder. 🔥 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When Stella passed away a few years back, I wasn’t ready for another dog for a while. That hole in your heart must heal... you can’t “replace” them. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Fast forward to COVID times, and our initial “temporary” move from the city - we rented a house with plenty of land, and we’d gaze out the window together while daydreaming: “what if we just... STAYED??” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We decided to buy the house, & told the kids that when we closed 🏡, our gift to ourselves, as a family, would be a dog... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ...a BIG dog! One that “went with the house.” 😂 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We are so grateful to @pawrade for helping us find the PERFECT pup. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We closed on the house... and Bodhi the Bernadoodle “closed” on our hearts. 🥰 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We say each + every day that we feel like “we won the dog lottery.” 🤩 I know everyone thinks *they* have the best dog... but we definitely have THE BEST DOG... for us, anyway!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .... and we are so, so grateful. 😌 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🐶 Bodhi, you’re the sweetest, snuggliest, most muppet-y dog we’ve ever seen, and we adore every single minute with you. 🤍🤎🤍🤍🤍 Thanks for entering our lives and literally completing us!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #dogsofinstagram #puppies #dogs #thatsjustmybabydoggy #pawrade #wellness #dogmom #dogdad
