Russian strikes on critical infrastructure were reported this morning in the city of Dnipro, in central Ukraine.
Ukrainian officials there said air defence systems had been shooting down incoming projectiles.
This morning, local officials in Zaporizhzhya, in the southeast, said at least two people were killed in a Russian missile attack overnight. The shelling hit a two-storey residential building in the city’s Vilniansk district, according to governor Oleksandr Starukh.
Three were wounded and one person died in attacks on the northeastern city of Kharkiv and three more were injured in the port city of Odesa.
About 20,000 Russian troops managed to withdraw from Kherson city, the only regional capital captured during President Putin’s invasion, to positions on the east bank of the Dnipro river last week.
