@linghanye new exhibition ‘From Disappearance to Disappearance’ is now open at both at @hdm_gallery 's Paris space and @donjondevez Ye Linghan, who was born in 1985 in Lishui, is one of the most noted artists on the contemporary Chinese art scene. He paints large-scale paintings which immediately impose themselves on the viewer by their whirlwind of multicolored forms, inside which are presented silhouettes, summarily evoking human figures. The result is equal to its technique - complex, methodically applied, made of various processes and perfectly mastered. The artist first works his backgrounds in paint and airbrush. He transfers images he collected daily to a computer program, which forms the basement for the rest of the layers. Once this process is completed, he then intervenes on the computer image to modify it and enrich it by introducing new elements. The works in the current exhibition belong to the series “Lucy”, which Ye Linghan has been developing since 2016. The backgrounds are varied, sometimes with a dominant color, the silhouettes more or less transformed until they become difficult to read in their entanglement. The profusion of forms, the multiplication of directions, the juxtaposition of planes, the brilliance of colors give all their richness to this vision. Born in 1985, now lives and works in Shanghai .
