Minting Now: Dance Momentos by @omarzrobles In 2013, Omar Zoebles began a photography series to inspire people to view their urban spaces differently. Over nine years, this project has shaped Omar's career and created countless opportunities. As a special gesture after each shoot, Omar would give dancers an instant print. Seeing their joy and pride in receiving these inspired Omar to start photographing them holding the prints. 'Dance Mementos' is a tribute to this series, featuring a selection of Omar's favorite images. Omar Z. Robles's visual storytelling journey began with Marcel Marceau in Paris. His photos, stories, and videos have been featured worldwide, including Instagram's Blog, My Modern Met, Mashable, and Harper's Bazaar. He juxtaposes dancers against cityscapes to reveal a nation's culture. Recently, he documented dancers in masks as a symbol of hope during Covid-19.
