so thankful @imaginaryfuture happened to capture this unexpected hit of emotions on video ♥️⁣ ⁣ being a new mom can be such an all-encompassing, non-stop, present-making endeavor that it’s been harder than i expected to stay connected to just how miraculous it is that we made it here. but every now and then, through a photo, a letter, a children’s book, or in this case, a song, it all comes crashing back in.⁣ ⁣ last friday we celebrated the release of our song “gold”, a song born from the heartache and hope of infertility, and while dancing around to the song with our daughter, something opened up in me and i felt it all again. i was overcome with wave upon wave of gratitude and couldn’t stop the tears.⁣ ⁣ i’m so grateful for the moments when the weight of the five years it took us to get to her break through. i wish i could carry it all the time—the perspective and the history and the gratitude, but i am allowing myself to dissolve into the present and just be with this sweet tiny being, and let those moments come when they do. how how how could i be so lucky ♥️😭⁣ ⁣ if you missed my new song “gold” with @jomemusic, it’s out now in all the places ✨
