This transformation with my bikini prep client @fitqueen_lia getting ready to hit the stage October 22nd @garyudit NPC Natural Capital Classic! 😍👏🏽💃🏽 This is Talia’s first time ever prepping for a show and I’ve been over the moon excited watching her progress since we started in May. We started out in a maintenance phase for about 6-8 weeks prior to starting her cut. She came to me at the end of April with a goal of competing between October to January. During her maintenance phase, I was able to work her calories up to see where her body liked to maintain weight and from there we were able to start her cut mid June. Every week she came in tighter in her physique and much more polished in her posing. We didn’t do any drastic cutting because we gave her enough time prior to her show to bring her in on point. . . When it comes to deciding show dates or when to start prep with new competitors or ladies who’ve never prepped before, I like to take about 6-8 weeks prior to deciding which way to go because it allows me to assess the way your physique responds to dieting, cardio, training and many other variables being manipulated. Unless you’ve been through several preps, tried out different coaching methods or truly know your body and how it works, it’ll be hard for me to give you any type of estimation on when you’ll be ready. Why? So many factors play into this that I’ll go into in a later post about when you should hire a coach prior to prepping for a show. For now I wanna give me girl major props for coming to me with ample amount of time to take the slow and steady route to the stage! . .
