We’re kicking off our four day cross-city happening next Thursday with a concert of ecstatic ritual music and hypnotic live sets at the St Barnabas Church in Broadway, a striking site of worship that evokes a starship ascending into the ether 🌀🧩⭐️ Join us for a sonic ceremony in four passages: avant-garde Indonesian duo Senyawa perform live renderings of their acclaimed ALKISAH project, Karina Utomo’s new doom metal outfit Rinuwat present their acclaimed debut album Dua Naga fusing doom metal with sacred instruments from the gamelan gong kebyar, and Newcastle’s Troth and Silzedrek (Tarquin Manek) bless us with live sets canvassing ambient, field recordings, dub and folk-jazz romanticism.
