I can’t think of a big wall I’ve done where I haven’t done two things afterwards: eaten a huge, quality meal and taken a long, hot shower. After we climbed Pool Wall we topped out on the Renland Ice Cap and then spent 5 days travelling across it dragging our stuff, including a radar used to measure depth and density of the snow and ice. This data can help scientists give the ice cap a ‘health check’. It’s been over a month without a shower or fresh food and we still have the biggest wall to climb. Yes I’m getting tired but the midnight sun and the beauty of the fjords is keeping my energy levels up. Wish us luck for the final leg of the trip.
