I’ve been avoiding idle time since the news broke. It still doesn’t feel real. It doesn’t feel right. Probably never will. It’s allowed me to reflect on legacy and realize just how fleeting this life is. Here today, gone tomorrow. January has been a staunch wake up call. How do you want to be remembered? I’ve been able to have conversations in the last 24 hours that I have been waiting to have. There is no disagreement big enough that you can’t say sorry. There’s is nothing worth losing for the sake of pride or “being right.” I just urge everyone to make the most of this decade and every single waking moment you have breath. Tell your loved ones how much they mean to you. Listen more than you speak. Set goals and work tirelessly to overachieve. Forsake short term gratification to build something that will last far longer than these years that are graciously given by God above. You never know what the next moment brings. Thank you 8/24 for teaching me more with your actions than your words. For being someone I could learn from. May you and your precious daughter rest easy💜💛
