🎶🏔️The hillllls are aliiiiveeee 🏔️🎶 But first it’s story time: The first time I auditioned for Ohio Light Opera was in 2015. I had just recently made the transition to being a music major, and OLO became the beacon of the kind of crossover work I wanted to make a career out of doing. As has become a common theme in my life this year (and always), sometimes the most precious seeds we plant take longer than we plan for them to bloom. After nearly 10 years I am so immensely grateful to be making my debut with Ohio Light Opera in a dream role in a dream show as Maria in the Sound of Music. Before I knew I loved musical theatre I knew I loved the Sound of Music. Its songs have been the soundtrack to so much of my life and I couldn’t possibly imagine a better conclusion to the story for 2015 me than this.
