I’ve been pulling myself out of a depressive episode and I’m slowly starting to feel like myself again. • Depression and anxiety is something I’ve struggled with for YEARS and I’m learning (or at least trying to learn 🫠) to give myself grace during this time. I usually beat myself up and feeling guilty about it because girl what are you even depressed about?! BUT this time around I’ve been finding ways to cope during those depressive/anxious episodes by getting back into the things I’m passionate about. Beauty and creating content gives me moments of time that I can focus solely on myself and block out all the extra noise. I also like to fall off the face of the earth for a few days and I almost always keep my phone on DND 😅 • I never share stuff like this with people outside of my inner circle but I’ve surprisingly found more strength in being vulnerable about where I’m at mentally.
