As a baseball fan—especially a Yankees fan—you'll understand just how monumental this recent milestone was for "Rizz Ink Customz." If you ask a fan who the greatest third baseman of all time is, you'll hear names like A-Rod, Chipper Jones, or Wade Boggs. For shortstops, names like Derek Jeter, Cal Ripken, or Ozzie Smith come up. Every position in Major League Baseball has its legends. But there’s one position where the debate ends—closer. Ask anyone, regardless of their favorite team, and if they don’t say Mariano Rivera, they don’t know baseball. "The Sandman" is hands down the greatest closer in the history of the sport. So, when I say it was an honor not only to create a pair of custom sneakers for "Mo," but to personally present them to him at the "Mariano Rivera Foundation Golf Outing," I mean it was a truly unforgettable experience. It was nothing short of spectacular, and it’s a memory I’ll carry with me forever. I want to take a moment to thank my man Carlos Perez from the "Mariano Rivera Public Foundation" for working with us to make this all possible. We are looking forward to a long lasting partnership for years to come.
