A ceremony unique to the Samburu people of Northern Kenya. Women from neighbouring villages join together, dancing and chanting their way from settlement to settlement to reach the riverbed. Here they perform enchanting songs wishing for the prosperity of their families, crops and livestock. They also poke fun at one another's husbands, accompanied by boisterous dancing and strong language, often reminiscent of a poetry slam or rap battle!
