First read of 2026 in the baggggg. and we started back up with our friends Carl and Princess Donut. The Dungeon Crawler Carl series by Matt Dinniman has been such a fun ride. I know it's everywhere, but listen to the people!! these are fabulous, funny and easy to read even when they get complicated. The vividness of these worlds which Matt Dinniman is able to write is insane. I feel like this is the first book where you really feel the seriousness of the stakes involved. There's always been the undertone of rage against the machine, but going forward the stakes are feeling much higher and much scarier for our favorites. recommend, recommend, recommend!
