I’ll never forget the day that @bee_40 told Valerie and I that she was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. I absolutely couldn’t believe it. I went through a roller coaster of emotions and just wished so badly that there was something I could do to heal her and make it go away. But all I could do was hug her, listen to her and share some positive words that I thought might help to comfort her during this difficult time. Fast forward to today... Brenda has since completed Chemo and is now waiting to have a double mastectomy and micro surgery (which her insurance does not cover). Brenda has been through so much and I am so inspired by her strength, resilience, optimism and amazing sense of humor. As a friend I know how difficult this whole diagnosis has been and it has really affected Brenda’s ability to work... hence affecting her income.
