My favorite spatula for this step is the “depotting tool” from brand Z-Palette Once that is detached, you now have space to slide a thinner tool underneath. I switch over to the thinnest spatula i have from Makeup Designory. Heat is optional. Low heat is ok but do not add very high heat. Since I’m not using heat, the best method is to add an adhesive remover to my spatula. The best adhesive remover is Parian Spirit which is actually a fantastic makeup brush cleaner and all-around disinfectant. This method allows me to loosen the glue that’s gripping the pan. Make sure to slide and go side to side and do not lift until the pan is detached. Adding a metal sticker underneath is a must in order to place pan in a magnetic palette like this one from MYO Cosmetic Cases. This one is the medium version.
