I’m not one for gushing about my partners work on socials (my cringe threshold for such things is low). But.. when lockdown started I kept thinking it was an amazing opportunity for artists -for everyone really- to go back to what’s inside of us, to listen to our own voices and make choices without the publicists and “industry experts” (and socials let’s be honest) endlessly pitching opinions of how we could and should be better, do better, do more, be more successful, all that shit that plays into the self-doubt that’s an inevitable part of being creative, and how unworthy and not good enough we all feel inside. Well... THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS. These three brilliant people wrote and recorded this album from their own isolated home studios over zoom calls, and produced and mixed it like they used to. Just them. And it’s hands down the best thing they’ve ever made. 🖤 I live with one of them (who has wisely completely withdrawn from this kind of social media pish) so I was lucky enough to have this in the darkest depths of winter lockdown, and it saved my soul from dying.
