A couple weeks ago Larry had the opportunity to have a group of kids, several moms and a teacher come down to the farm for an education day. Together they all walked through the crops and looked at the grains and beans while Larry offered them fresh picked radishes and mustard. They got to go in the hoop house where they checked out the turmeric as well as ginger, cardamom, galangal and grains of paradise. Larry talked about companion planting with them and how we have all the other stuff growing in there and the teacher made a cute analogy the kids loved, when you have a buddy the two of you do better together than you do apart! They also of course made their way to the animals where they had a great time! The kids enjoyed learning outdoors, getting their hands dirty, the smells, sights and tastes. Memories were made and lots of knowledge was obtained. You can always expect a memorable and knowledgeable experience at the farm✨😊
