Anxiety can be so difficult for some women it affects their ability to function at all. They loose confidence and may make decisions about their future, such as giving up work, that they later regret.
Options to help:
HRT can reduce menopausal symptoms by 70-80%.
Self care: mindfulness, meditation, relaxation breathing exercises, use of essential oils to relax, talking therapies like counselling or CBT, speaking with family and friends, a mood diary, good sleep hygiene, regular exercise, yoga, avoiding alcohol, eating a healthy diet low in sugar and ultra processed foods. Trying to avoid negative triggers.
Some women do need to take antidepressant medication to help with this.
