Every year I act like a cranky bitch about the tree and how I don’t want to get it until the 24th, and then, having got the thing, become psychotically overbearing in how PRECISELY I want the tree to be decorated. I’m not proud. After lots of moaning, the compromise weekend (or the point at which I get summarily overruled by the Christmas ko-operative) was today.
