I used to have a negative mindset, talking down on other people’s success, coming up with reasons of why I didn’t have what someone else had, complaining about small useless shit, playing the blame game.
When I started living life on my own terms, I had to change. Now, positive thinking doesn’t mean everything is fairytales and rainbows. Bad shit will happen. People will hurt you. Things outside of your control will be painful. Having a positive mindset means that you accept these realities of life and you’re willing to deal with them, instead of run away from them.
It doesn’t mean that everything is always amazing, which some people act like. That’s just living in a false reality.
Start analyzing your thoughts. Start questioning those thoughts. Are they helpful? Are they not helpful? How could you think differently about certain things? I constantly write these things down for myself and not only does it help with accomplishing big goals in your life and self belief, but also with feeling great about yourself and being proud.
Do you journal yourself? Or are you going to? ✍️Let me know in the comments
