Today marks the start of #BabyLossAwarenessWeek 9-15 October. In collaboration with @sandscharity our exhibition #StillParents: Life after Baby Loss shares personal stories, breaking the wall of silence that continues to surround baby loss. #BLAW2022 On 15th October at 7pm we will be joining the Global Wave of Light with an in-person event especially for anyone who has experienced the loss of a baby during pregnancy or just after birth. For this special event we invite you to come together with others in the Art Garden at the Whitworth Art Gallery to remember your baby and light an (LED) candle in their honour. Baby Loss Awareness Week culminates with a global Wave of Light so at 7pm we will be lighting the candles to join in with others across the world. Candles will be provided for free for all families attending this event. The Whitworth will be open from 6pm so please feel free to come along before the Wave of Light where there will be the opportunity to visit the Still Parents exhibition and also take part in a creative activity. The event will finish at 8pm so there will also be time to view the exhibition and take part in the activity after the Wave of Light. Hot drinks will be also available to keep you warm whilst in the Art Garden. Children and babies are welcome. If you would like to come please book your place(s) via the link.
