TORONTO!!!!! this was the poem !!!! last night was show 59 on this world tour. i don’t really get nervous anymore. but yday i felt the pressure. hometown crowd. my parents were watching this show for the first but there was one other thing making me particularly nervous: one of my readers who was attending the show had reached out asking if i could dedicate this poem to their partner and if they could propose immediately after. i said yes because it felt right. but damn i was nervous. nervous to be a part of their big moment. nervous that i was gunna mispronounce a name or say the wrong name 😂 nervous at whether it would be a yes or a no 🫣 after dedicating and reading the poem for them, i said “hey, your partner has a question for you” and almost instantly, the audience erupted. i have never witnessed soemthing like that from the stage so i was shoooooook. trembling. shaking. not prepared. omg i cannot IMAGINE WHAT THE TWO OF THEM FELTTTTTT. they said yes. we all cheered in joy. they kissed. we cheered even louder. congrats to the couple. and so much love to everyone bc yday we got to witness something so sweet and beautiful.
