This one is dedicated to the women born and raised in New York City who have faced immense adversity, yet continue to defy the odds while relentlessly pushing the culture forward. The ladies of the 2023 Jordan Women’s Collective NY cohort are so proud to share with you the release of the Jordan Women’s AJ1 Zoom CMFT 2 ‘You’re Welcome’. This sneaker has been a year in the making and truly embodies the beauty and grit we carry within ourselves—not just to make a meaningful impact in our communities, but to influence the world. From the sneaker’s name to its fine details (like the Air Jordan scratch-off logo), so much love and intention were poured into this project. Too often, we go unacknowledged for our wisdom, love, passion, and hustle we carry day-to-day. Too often, we aren’t celebrated for paving the way for culture to thrive globally. And too often, we aren’t appreciated for being the pillars of our households and communities. The release of the Jordan Women’s AJ1 Zoom CMFT 2 ‘You’re Welcome’ is our way of simply saying—you’re welcome. It feels surreal to share this moment with the world alongside some of the most incredible women and one of the most talented creative teams I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.
