Today we provided an update on our leasing programme for #FloatingWind in the #CelticSea 🌊, to enable potential developers to prepare for the tender which will launch in 2023. In the first stage of tender, developers' bids will include plans in support of an internationally competitive #SupplyChain 👷‍♀️👨‍🔧, along with legal, financial and technical elements. We have also outlined ‘Refined Areas of Search’ - smaller areas of seabed where projects may be located in the future. They have been identified following stakeholder engagement, including #fishing communities 🐟 and #environmental groups 🌎. The leasing programme is set to deliver 4GW of #RenewableEnergy capacity by 2035, boosting the UK’s #NetZero ambitions and delivering enhanced #EnergySecurity, as well as creating new jobs, skills and investment, including in #Wales and the #SouthWest of England.
