For additional context: I was raised vegetarian and have been vegan for 7 years so the look/smell of meat has always bothered me. I also spent 4 years working for animal rights orgs including an animal sanctuary. I love when people eat vegetarian/vegan when we’re together, but that’s not a hard rule by any means. When I am flexible and decide to visit a non-vegan restaurant, I just don’t want to pay for anyone’s portion but my own.
