A year ago, I left the classroom anxious for all the change a career switch would bring. Today, I’m pouring a glass of @stagsleapwinery Napa Valley Chardonnay as I’m reminded that the moments that scare you are the very ones that prepare you to take the leap into the next chapter. After leaving, I felt like I was losing something by stepping away but a year later I'm grateful for everything I've gained in such little time. The knowledge acquired, relationships fostered, and peace I've found would not exist had I not taken a chance. It's crazy to think 5 years have flown living in LA, but taking a chance on yourself is always the greatest investment. Yes, it'll be uncomfortable. Yes, I still miss teaching.
