Met the greatest readers at Apollycon this weekend. Events of this size are honestly like an Olympic sport for readers. Listening for names to be announced over the loudspeaker, carrying loads of paperbacks, quickly finding the appropriate page for an author to sign inside of beautifully crafted keepsake scrapbook, all while offering to help strangers nearby in line. It’ll always be a surreal moment when someone comes to my table dressed in a nod to one of my books. Swipe to see. One of my favorite moments, however, was when a reader said, “I bought this damn cartoon book at Target and all of a sudden he’s tossin’ her salad!” Never change, guys, and thank you! Thank you as well to the hard working volunteers of @apollycon and @cristiinareads who looks like a regular person but is actually a superhero who managed to locate a luggage cart after the signing, which is essentially the book signing holy grail to people who hate carrying boxes, which is everyone. ❤️❤️❤️
